Food Rescuer for Princeton & surrounding localities

Share My Meals addresses food insecurity and food waste by recovering left over food from corporate donors, school cafeterias and local food retailers and donating to our community in need!

We have several opportunities for volunteers in the Princeton area to pick up meals and/or pre-packaged food from our various generous local donors on Monday to Friday, ranging from early morning to early afternoon, and deliver to our hub in Princeton. This opportunity should take between 30 to 60 minutes, including delivery travel time, depending on the route.

We are also looking for volunteers to deliver this recovered food from 4 to 5 or 5:30pm on Monday to Friday to our community in need. This opportunity should take between 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the location of the 6-8 designated recipient homes.

All our volunteers will require a car and a smartphone. They will also be required to carry large bags of food short distances to their car.

Volunteers can sign up for as many weekly deliveries as they wish. Ideally, we're looking for people who can do at least 3 or 4 deliveries a month.
