Help a Heart Hold a Hand, Volunteer to Visit Hospice Patients

Volunteering for hospice can be sitting with patients on their journey. Holding a hand for comfort, saying soft words of compassion and empathy, listening to their stories, spreading calm to their days so they feel connected and cared for. An hour of your time can make a huge difference for the patients, their familes and their care teams.

We have in person roles of companionship visits, respite care and vigil sitting. We also have remote roles of pen pals, birthday cards and tuck in calls. All roles are scheduled around your availability and comfort level. The reequirements are you need to be in the US and over 18. There is a background check using your driver's license, personal references and paperwork. For the in person roles there are some health clearance papers and a TB test that we pay for. All roles have training as well.
