Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver interactive lessons on AI, coding, and technology fundamentals to K–12 students
  • Simplify complex concepts into engaging, age-appropriate activities
  • Collaborate with teachers and MAP staff to align lessons with student needs

  • Teaching, tutoring, or workshop facilitation experience preferred (but not required)
  • Commitment to equity, cultural sensitivity, and inclusivity in education

Commitment

  • Volunteer role, approximately 5–10 hours per week (lesson prep + delivery)
  • Minimum 6-month commitment preferred
  • Hybrid model: in-person visits to New York City schools with remote prep and support

What You’ll Gain

  • Hands-on experience teaching AI and coding to K–12 students
  • Opportunities to inspire and mentor the next generation of tech leaders
  • Collaboration with a mission-driven team of educators and innovators
  • Professional references and letters of recommendation
  • A chance to build impact while developing teaching and leadership skills
