Position Summary:
The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) provides strategic leadership and execution for CSA’s communications, brand, and outreach. As a key executive leader, the CMO ensures that CSA’s message and impact reach diverse audiences, elevating CSA’s visibility, engagement, and reputation.
This is a high-impact volunteer leadership role requiring creativity, strategic thinking, and a commitment to social impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee CSA’s marketing and communications strategy.
- Build brand identity and ensure consistent messaging across channels.
- Supervise and support marketing staff and interns.
- Lead content development for social media, newsletters, and other platforms.
- Coordinate with all departments to promote programs, partnerships, and events.
- Represent CSA in public relations and external communications efforts.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in marketing, communications, or brand strategy (nonprofit or mission-driven preferred).
- Strong writing, editing, and content development skills.
- Experience leading teams and working with volunteers.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Deep commitment to CSA’s mission.
Commitment:
- Estimated commitment: 5-8 hours per week (virtual, flexible).
- Attend monthly executive meetings and oversee weekly marketing activities.
