Provide Pet Therapy Visits for Compassus Hospice Patients

Hospice Care is focused on providing comfort, compassion, and quality of life for patients who are facing serious illnesses. We understand that emotion well-being is just as important as physcial care during this time. One way we can bring comfort and joy to our patients is through animal-assisted therapy. This is why we are looking for therapy dog to visit our nursing home patients. Therapy dogs are specially trained to provided companionship, reduce stress, and bring smiles to those who need it most. Many studies have shown that spending time with therapy dogs can reduce feelings of loneliness, anxiety, and depression among patients. By introuducing a therapy dog into our hospice program, we hope to lift spirits and make each day a little brighter for our patients.
