Bereavement Support Volunteers Needed!

Bristol Hospice Dallas is seeking Bereavement Support Volunteers to provide comfort and care to families following the loss of their loved one. Bereavement volunteers play a vital role in helping families navigate their grief journey through kind words, empathy, and consistent follow-up.

Volunteer roles may include:

• Making low bereavement phone calls to check in with families and offer supportive listening
• Assisting with bereavement mail-outs and comfort materials

Requirements:

• Completion of 2 additional online trainings and bereavement phone call training with our Regional Bereavement Coordinator (for those assisting with phone calls)
• Excellent communication, empathy, and confidentiality
• Must be able to complete hospice volunteer onboarding, training, background checks, and TB screenings
