Volunteer Opportunity: Horse Leader - Help Support Riders in 30-Minute Equine Therapy Sessions!

At the American Therapeutic Riding Center (ATRC)

Join us as a Horse Leader! In this role, you’ll assist a certified PATH instructor and staff in supporting client riders during equine therapy sessions. As a Horse Leader, you’ll begin as a Side Walker to learn the dynamics of the client team and how to communicate effectively with our horses.

What You'll Do:

  • Leadd the horse for riders throughout the 30-minute sessions, ensuring their safety and offering encouragement.
  • Gain hands-on experience with our horses while assisting with tacking and barn maintenance.
  • Step in as a Side Walker when needed.

Why Volunteer with ATRC?

Volunteering at ATRC is a life-changing experience for both you and the riders. Our Equine Assisted Services (EAS) help individuals with diverse needs enhance their cognitive, physical, emotional, and social well-being. You’ll play a crucial role in improving riders’ posture, strength, mobility, and overall quality of life.

Flexible Scheduling to Fit Your Lifestyle!
