Food Rescuer - New Brunswick, Middlesex Cty to Bound Brook, Somerset Cty

Our volunteers recover healthy meals from commercial donor cafeterias and deliver them to specified nearby non-profit organizations. Every meal saved stays out of the landfill, helping the environment, while also nourishing our community in need.

The volunteer role involves:

• Picking up meals from Bristol Myers Squibb in New Brunswick on Fridays at 1pm, and
• Delivering these meals to the Bound Brook Presbyterian Church in Bound Brook.

This volunteer task should take between 90 minutes and 2 hours, including 11 mile travel time between donor and recipient.

We require volunteers to drive their own car. This opportunity happens weekly and, while we welcome regular participation, we will work with your schedule (volunteer as you wish policy). Insulated bags will be provided to carry food donations.
