About Us:

Dulce Vida Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abandoned and abused dogs and cats across California and Mexico. Through vet partnerships, foster care, and outreach, we give animals the second chance they deserve.

Role Summary:

Sometimes, a ride can save a life. As a Transport Volunteer, you’ll help get our rescue animals where they need to go—whether it’s a vet visit, a foster home, or their forever family. Many of our pups cross the border into the U.S., and we rely on kind-hearted drivers to get them safely from the border to San Diego, Los Angeles, or nearby foster placements. Each journey you take brings an animal one step closer to a better life.

You will:

• Drive rescue dogs to and from locations like vets, fosters, or adopters
• Assist with transport from the border to San Diego or Los Angeles
• Ensure animals are safely and comfortably secured during travel
• Communicate with rescue coordinators for timing and instructions

What We’re Looking For:

• A valid U.S. driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Comfort handling dogs and following basic safety protocols
• Good communication and punctuality
• A big heart and a love for animals
