Join our creative team to help develop historically accurate, engaging educational materials for middle and high school students. You’ll contribute to lesson plans, printed content, and blog posts that celebrate Philadelphia and Pennsylvania’s role in American history.

Historian & Educational Content Contributor Responsibilities:

  • Identify historic sites, stories, and figures for educational focus
  • Conduct research and draft content for lessons, blog posts, or timelines
  • Collaborate with our art teachers and curriculum developers
  • Provide light copyediting or fact-checking as needed
  • Optional: Lead or co-lead a virtual workshop or history walk

What We're Looking For:

  • Background in history, education, museum studies, writing, or related field
  • Clear communication and collaborative spirit
  • Enthusiasm for public history and civic storytelling
  • Familiarity with Philadelphia and Pennsylvania history preferred

Requirements:

  • Ability to volunteer for a minimum of 3 hours a week for at least 10 weeks
  • Ability to manage self-guided work
  • Access to technology and ability to meet virtually
