The Friends of Fort Frederick State Park support the park by sponsoring educational activities and programs, as well as, contributing financially to the park's historical and cultural and administrative needs. The Friends of Fort Frederick also supports volunteer efforts on the Western Maryland Rail Trail and Woodmont NRMA.
