About this Opportunity
"Through interpretation comes understanding. Through understanding comes appreciation. Through appreciation comes preservation." Come be part of preserving the only colonial built stone fort of the French and Indian War, by giving guests a better appreciation of Maryland's history. Don the clothing of the 1750's and demonstrate daily life at Fort Frederick. Volunteers can portray either a soldier in the Maryland Companies of Foot, the Maryland Militia, or civilians attached to the army. Volunteers at the Fort also assist with daily operations, research, gardening and special events.
