2026 YB Development Communications VISTA- Roxbury

YouthBuild Boston is a transformative education and workforce development program serving young adults, ages 16¿24, who have faced barriers to completing high school or accessing stable career opportunities. The program combines academic instruction, vocational training, leadership development, and community service to empower students to earn their high school diploma or equivalent, gain marketable skills in construction and other high-demand sectors, and prepare for postsecondary education or meaningful careers. YouthBuild Boston emphasizes holistic support, including mentorship, career guidance, and personal development, fostering resilient, confident, and socially responsible graduates who can contribute to their communities. The VISTA will develop and manage strategic communication and volunteer programs by creating a social media and newsletter strategy, producing content that highlights organizational impact, and training staff on messaging. They will design, implement, and evaluate corporate and individual volunteer programs, including recruitment, orientation, scheduling, and tracking systems, to maximize volunteer engagement and support academic and career initiatives for students. The VISTA will document processes and outcomes to ensure sustainable systems for future staff and volunteers.
