26-27 PowerPlay Development and Grants Associate VISTA

PowerPlay NYC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the lives of girls through sports. For nearly 30 years, we have provided free, sports-based after-school and summer programs to youth from under-resourced communities across New York City. Our mission is to help girls grow physically, emotionally, and academically stronger by combining athletic instruction with mentorship and social-emotional learning (SEL) skill development.

Our flagship STARS (Sports Training and Role-models for Success) Series program engages girls ages 5¿14 in structured sports programming designed to build confidence, teamwork, and leadership. Research shows that girls¿ confidence declines significantly during adolescence, and PowerPlay addresses this gap by creating safe, inclusive spaces where girls can thrive.

The VISTA will support the expansion and sustainability of our programming via the Development Department, with a focus on fundraising, partnership development, and program capacity building¿particularly for seasonal initiatives like our Spring Soccer program. This role is ideal for someone passionate about youth development and community impact.
