WSU AmeriCorps-Wichita Public Library Summer Reading Program

AmeriCorps The Wichita Public Library is seeking seven enthusiastic AmeriCorps Members to assist for 10 weeks with the library¿s Summer Reading Program for children and families. Each member will be assigned to a specific library location, including the Advanced Learning Library, Walters, Angelou, or Westlink Branch Libraries, and the Book Bus. Members will work directly with librarians and staff to promote literacy, engage the community, and help children and families participate in the library¿s Summer Reading Program. Each position will focus on supporting program registration, outreach, literacy events, and assisting families in completing the program. AmeriCorps Members receive a modest living stipend and education award for their service.
