25-26 Strong Girls United Development & Communications VISTA

Strong Girls United (SGU) is a national nonprofit on a mission to empower girls through sports, mentorship, and mental health programming. We use sport as a tool for teaching confidence, connection, and resilience. Our programs serve girls from elementary school through college, especially those who may not have access to organized sports or strong female role models.

As a Development and Communications VISTA, you¿ll play a key role in building the long-term sustainability of SGU. This position focuses on strengthening donor engagement, organizing our fundraising database, and supporting campaigns such as our charity marathon team and nationwide dedication games. You'll also help create systems for sponsor outreach and grant research to diversify funding streams and fuel growth.

This is a first-year VISTA position, perfect for someone passionate about equity in sport and education who wants to gain practical experience in nonprofit development, donor stewardship, and fundraising strategy.
