About this Opportunity
The VISTA Leader will expand and enhance current project success and sustainability by recruiting VISTA members, orchestrating trainings, maintaining regular communication with VISTAs, tracking and reviewing weekly reports, promoting member success stories and assembling data for reporting. The WSU program is 10 years old. Processes are in place. The Leader can adapt them, but doesn't have to create them from scratch. The VISTA Leader will support the activities of VISTAs who are in service to alleviate poverty by building capacity in their sites, focusing on education, economic opportunities, and healthy futures. The WSU VISTA project has expanded to include approximately 12 VISTAs. The project provides quarterly trainings and participates in Service Day projects. VISTAs support nonprofits and government organizations in Wichita and throughout Kansas. Housed at Wichita State University, the project is coordinated at WSU Old Town.
