About this Opportunity
Healing Action Network is dedicated to fostering safety, healing, and recovery for survivors of human trafficking and exploitation. Grounded in trauma-informed, survivor-centered care, we envision a future free from exploitation. As the only AmeriCorps program in the U.S. focused solely on human trafficking, our Volunteer Service Link connects AmeriCorps members with victim service organizations to enhance and expand survivor support. The Community Research & Outreach Liaison supports education, coalition-building, and strategic development to advance trauma-informed, survivor-centered services. This role emphasizes expanding awareness of human trafficking while strengthening organizational sustainability through research, policy education, resource development, and public engagement. Key Responsibilities: Plan and support education events and campaigns on survivor rights, policy updates, and systems navigation. Develop materials such as infographics, one-pagers, and policy briefs tailored to service providers and community members. Conduct research to inform strategic planning and program development, focusing on policies and legal changes affecting survivors. Create systems to track legislation and distribute updates to staff, coalitions, and partners. Assist in identifying and preparing non-federal funding opportunities that support survivor services and sustainability. Build relationships with partners, coalitions, and task forces to expand community impact. Track and report outreach, partnership, and policy engagement data to support evaluation and growth. This is a flexible hybrid position with remote, office-based, and community-facing service. Occasional evening or weekend events may occur. Ideal Candidate: Curious:Eager to learn and translate policy into actionable tools. Organized:Manages multiple projects and meets deadlines. Creative:Develops engaging, accessible content. Compassionate:Committed to trauma-informed, survivor-centered values.
