Mission Statement

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s mission is managing fish and wildlife resources for their long-term well-being and the benefit of people. Across the state, the FWC team works hard to protect our wildlife resources to ensure safe and enjoyable outdoor recreation. With more than 34 million acres of public and private land and over 12,000 square miles of water, maintaining our fish and wildlife resources is critical to sustaining a healthy way of life and a robust economy. We work to conserve and manage the natural areas that offer residents and visitors outstanding outdoor recreation opportunities.
