About this Opportunity
The Food Service Volunteer supports the preparation, assembly, and distribution of meals for youth in the MLK Center’s afterschool programs.
Volunteers help ensure meals are prepared safely, distributed efficiently, and that the kitchen remains clean and organized. This role plays a vital part in supporting student well-being and daily program operations. As a proud partner of Second Helpings, the MLK Center receives daily food donations during program days. Volunteers arrive in the afternoon to warm entrée items and prepare that day’s meal, which may include a snack, fruit or vegetables, bread, and other nutritious items.
