About this Opportunity
The Youth Support Volunteer works alongside youth leaders and program staff to support students during afterschool programming.
Volunteers help create a structured, encouraging environment where students can stay engaged in activities, build positive relationships with peers, and grow in confidence as they work toward their academic and personal goals.
Key Responsibilities

Support youth leaders and program staff during afterschool activities

Help students stay focused and engaged during program sessions

Encourage positive peer interaction and respectful behavior

Help maintain a safe and welcoming classroom environment

Follow the MLK Center code of conduct when interacting with youth

Communicate schedule changes or questions with program staff

Assist with program preparation when possible

Wear volunteer name tag while serving
