We are looking for a team of consistent season flyering volunteers who can help promote our events at local community centers and businesses. This role will help support local educational and community events in our Boston Community Gardens!
Staff will provide updated flyers, and volunteers will print and distribute flyers on their own schedule. This volunteer role can be done individually, in pairs, or as a group—the more, the merrier!
Responsibilities Include
- Picking up flyers at a designated pick up site
- Printing out color flyers with a personal printer or at a local library (free printing for pages with color up to 20$!)
- Cutting flyers into quarter pages when needed
- Distributing flyers in your designated neighborhood to our suggested list of locations and businesses, and add your own!
- Checking in with the Trustees Community Gardens Engagement Manager every two weeks for updates and new flyers for upcoming events
- Update staff when flyering is completed
- Recording volunteer hours here on Volunteer Connected
Time Commitment
Flyering support is needed year around, with a focus on April-October with a maximum of two hours every two weeks anticipated. This is a flexible role that can be done on your schedule. A three month commitment is preferred.
