RVA Community Fridge Drop Off

Brief Organizational Description:
Village Green RVA seeks to harness the generosity of community resources to help families thrive. This includes preparing healthy and accessible food for community partners while also providing programming for foster, adoptive, and kinship families. 

Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
RVA Community Fridge Drop Off happens every Friday at Village Green RVA. Preparing and cooking food is just one step of our mission. The next step is to have volunteers drop off this food at RVA Community Fridges for others to eat! 

Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
Volunteers will go to Village Green RVA and be given to-go packages of food. The volunteer will then need to deliver this food to RVA Community Fridges. There is a list of locations here: https://www.rvacommunityfridges.com/fridges 

Volunteers may choose fridges that are the most convenient for their location. If possible, we ask volunteers to take a picture of the “before & after” of the fridge so that we may post them on social media. 

Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:
No special skills needed, just a car to drive to fridges.

Time Commitment:
Arrive at Village Green RVA at 12pm to pick up food.

• Volunteers will be sent an email with any information needed once they have signed up. 
• Dress comfortably!
