Construct a simple wood frame awning

Brief Organizational Description: Our creative, holistic approach to those affected by unemployment, underemployment who are formerly incarcerated or returning from rehabilitation puts into practice the ultimate goal of helping people become independent. Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
We are looking for a skilled construction volunteer to lead and help construct a simple wood frame awning to cover the porch at one of our affordable housing apartment units. This is a single day volunteer opportunity that will take place between Monday, June 16 to Thrusday, June 19. Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
The construction volunteer will construct a simple wood frame awning while we are hosting a teen work camp that week. The volunteer may seek assistance from the 16 yr old or older teens so long as the teenagers do not use power tools. 

Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:
This volunteer opportunitiy is best for an adult who has experience with building simple construction. 

Time Commitment:
The expectation is this would be a single day project.
