Cat Room 'Down N Dirty' Volunteer

At Friends For Life, every animal matters. Founded in 2002, Friends For Life introduced the first no-kill shelter model to Houston saving animals regardless of their breed, age or condition.

Houston-grown, were here to help our neighbors care for the pets they love.

Were not finished until every animal has a safe home. Until then, well be innovating, improving and tracking results to find the most effective ways to save lives.

We have 4 free roaming cat rooms where we need your help in caring for the cats, feedingthe cats, and cleaning the cat rooms at the shelter.

Currently, Down N Dirty shifts are offered from 9AM-Noon every day.

PetSmart VolunteerWe have some of our cats that show at thePetSmart cattery on South Shepherd and always need more volunteers who are interested in helping socialize the cats, clean the cages, feed the cats, and answer questions from the public.
