Help Inter-Faith Food Shuttle Cultivate Our Food Bank Learning Garden!

Inter-Faith Food Shuttle is a North Carolina basednon-profit organization, and partner with the Feeding America Network. OurLearning Gardens fall under our "GROW" initiative - helping to combatfood insecurity by bringing neighbors together to promote local food production.

The Food Bank Learning Garden is a vibrant example ofurban gardening and of the collaboration between sister Feeding America FoodBanks. Once operated by theFood Bank of Central and Eastern NorthCarolina, the garden is now under the care of Inter-Faith Food Shuttle due tostate and federal budget cuts that have impacted hunger relief organizationsstate-wide. We are honored to take on this responsibility, and to continue thelegacy that this garden has made for the local community.

During a shift, volunteers will assist with generalgardening tasks such as seasonal harvesting, packing, planting, weeding,pruning, mulching, and greenhouse work. Come prepared to bend, kneel, andlift medium to heavy items to complete our daily tasks.
