Turnbull Child Development Center - Classroom Volunteer

The RSVP Childcare Classroom Helper:Your job requires you to bring yourlistening ears, your patience, your love for children and lots of smiles as youhelp children and teachers in their daycare and learning journey. Thisvolunteer will provide classroomhelp and companionship to daycare students and teachers at Turnbull ChildDevelopment Center.

Programdescription:Education provides critical skills for life. To help students achievetheir full potential, the Turnbull Child Development Center is seekingvolunteers to aid in classroom activities, assistingchildren ages 1-12 and their teachers with playtime and other classroom activities.Volunteerswill be asked to follow teachers instructions while working with children andassist the teacher with preparation and other classroom activities.

Duties:

Interactwith children ages 1-12 and be a welcoming adult face

Providehelp to children and teachers as needed.This does not include hands on care.

Protectthe privacy and confidentiality of students and their families

Skills required:

Must be 55years of age or older.

Mustsuccessfully pass a background check.

Relatewell to staff, volunteers and students and work with a team approach.

Willingnessto support children in the childcare setting.

Supervisor: Volunteerswill be supervised by the staff of Turnbull Child Development Center withoverall supervision provided by the Director.

Amount of Time: 2-hour weekly shifts, varies we will work with your schedule. A minimum of 1 shift weekly is appreciated,but feel free to take more!

Time of Day: As available during the Centers hours - Monday through Friday.
