Tutor Adults in Reading, Writing, Computers, or GED prep

Did you know that 1 in 6 adults in Washington state cant read this application? Literacy Source makes it possible for adults to gain the basic literacy skills they need to succeed in school, to find a job, to achieve life goals, and to create a better, more hopeful future.

Our volunteer tutors offer individualized support to adults who want to improve their basic reading and writing skills, math skills, or those who want to get their GED. Tutoring pairs can also focus on basic computer skills (such as using email). Tutors will develop lesson plans focused on individual students' needs and own goals from beginner to intermediate level.

We work with a diverse group of both native and non-native English speakers at our learning center in Lake City and online.

Bilingualism and/or experience working with adult immigrants and/or refugees is a plus. Training and support will be provided.
