About this Opportunity

Gila Cliff Dwellings is seeking camp hosts to join our dynamic team!

The camp host will be asked to work a 32 hour week, with a minimum of a 3-month commitment. The duties will require daily interaction with the public, janitorial tasks such as cleaning pit and flush toilets, collecting garbage from the housing, campground and day use areas. The Volunteer will also have the opportunity to assist in facilities maintenance such as painting, plumbing, lawn mowing and general repairs. If the volunteer shows interest in education, retail or trail work there will be a possibility to add these activities to their monthly tasks. All Personal Protective Equipment, Job Hazard Analyses and trainings will be available depending on task requirements and volunteer skill sets.

The volunteer must be willing and able to accomplish these tasks while maintaining a positive attitude. You will be provided all of the tools and support needed to accomplish your tasks. Maintaining a neat and professional appearance will be vital due to your interaction with the public. The campground host will interact with the public, and a positive attitude and willingness to share information is required. Working as a team is important, and all volunteers will be asked to work in groups at times. Volunteers are required to wear a uniform when interacting with the public that the National Park Service will provide.

Free (limited) WiFi and laundry is available in the housing area.
