About this Opportunity
- We are in need of hosts beginning sometime in late May or early June, with the actual start date yet to be determined.
- beginning mid-March through early October.
- Work 32-40 hours per week, including weekends.
- Register campers and provide information for an 80-site campground.
- Provide good customer service by being friendly, courteous, and accommodating to monument visitors.
- Rove the campground and educate campers about the rules and regulations of the monument and campground fee system.
- Provide fee compliance checks for payment of site assignments.
- Gather statistical data daily and monthly while providing information to NPS staff or logging on a database.
- Notify law enforcement rangers of illegal activity or emergency situations.
- Provide general monument and area information to visitors.
- Be available to provide charcoal for sale to campers.
- Must be able to operate park radios.
- Complete minor maintenance and janitorial duties in the absence of NPS staff.
- Operate NPS vehicles including cars, trucks, or a golf cart.
- A valid state-issued drivers license is required.
- The beginning and ending dates are negotiable, and the position could be shorter with a split season.

Saddlehorn Campground sits at an elevation of 5700 feet and consists of a high, dry desert climate in a pinyon-juniper habitat. Summer temperatures can range from the mid 60's (F) at night to the low 100's (F) during the day.
