Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and proactive Fundraising Officer to join our growing team. In this key volunteer role, you will play a vital part in securing the financial resources that sustain and expand our programs. You’ll work collaboratively to design and execute fundraising strategies, cultivate donor relationships, manage campaigns and events, and help build a strong base of support for our work.
Key Responsibilities
- Fundraising Strategy: Develop and implement short- and long-term fundraising plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Donor Engagement: Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with individual donors, sponsors, and partners.
- Campaigns & Events: Plan and execute virtual and in-person fundraising campaigns and events.
- Grant Writing: Research grant opportunities and draft compelling proposals for foundations and other funding sources.
- Donor Database: Maintain accurate donor records and monitor fundraising progress using CRM tools.
- Marketing Collaboration: Work with the communications team to create fundraising content and promotional materials.
- Reporting: Analyze fundraising data and report key metrics to leadership.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to ethical fundraising practices and legal requirements.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with staff and volunteers to align fundraising efforts with broader organizational initiatives.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Previous experience in fundraising, development, donor relations, or grant writing
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with donor management systems
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines
- A genuine passion for our mission to support postpartum families
Preferred/Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with nonprofit event planning and virtual fundraising platforms
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and digital fundraising tools
- Understanding of adult learning principles (andragogy)
- Bilingual or multilingual candidates encouraged to apply
