Use Your Sewing Skills to Create Lasting Comfort for Grieving Families
Do you enjoy sewing and want to make a meaningful impact? Apreva Hospice is seeking talented and compassionate Sewing Volunteers to help create Memory Bears and other keepsakes from clothing provided by the families of our hospice patients.
These handmade bears offer comfort, connection, and a beautiful way for loved ones to remember someone special.
Volunteer Role Includes:
- Sewing Memory Bears or small keepsakes from a patient’s clothing
- Working from home or in coordination with our volunteer team
- Paying attention to detail and handling each item with care and respect
- Helping provide emotional comfort to families through your creativity
No Hospice Experience Required
You don’t need hospice experience — just sewing skills, compassion, and a heart for helping others. Patterns and guidelines can be provided.
Ideal Volunteers:
- Skilled in sewing (by machine or hand)
- Detail-oriented and respectful of sentimental materials
- Compassionate and sensitive to grieving families
- Able to complete volunteer orientation and follow hospice guidelines
Why It Matters:
