Firefighter (Volunteer)

CVFD provides all of the training you need to become State Firemen’s and Fire Marshals’ Association (SFFMA) certified as a firefighter in Texas. CVFD hosts a recruit academy twice each year which starts from the ground up in both classroom and hands-on training. Individuals with prior firefighting experience may not have to attend the academy and will be handled on a case-by-case basis based on the individual’s knowledge, experience, and skill set.

Becoming a first responder is truly a life changing decision. The experiences to be gained and the impact to be made is unparalleled in any other profession.
