25-26 West Side Rowing Club Community Engagement VISTA

The West Side Rowing Club is dedicated to the physical, mental, and moral development of youth through rowing and other athletic pursuits. Since 1912, we¿ve provided inclusive and transformative programming that empowers young people, promotes teamwork, and builds lifelong skills both on and off the water.

The Community Outreach VISTA will play a critical role in expanding access to rowing for underrepresented communities. This position focuses on building partnerships with schools, nonprofits, and neighborhood organizations to engage more local youth in our programs. The VISTA will also support event planning, create outreach materials, assist with social media and storytelling, and help develop sustainable systems for long-term community involvement.

We¿re seeking candidates with strong communication and organizational skills, a passion for youth development in sports, and the ability to build relationships across all communities. Experience with outreach, event planning, marketing, or education is a plus, but a willingness to learn and take initiative is most important.
