About this Opportunity
Volunteer photographers are needed throughout the day of the 30th annual South End Garden Tour on June 20th, 2026.
Photographers will gain access to private back alleyways, backyards, roof decks, and gated community gardens, along with the special reopening of Dartmouth Green hosted during this year's tour. Volunteers are needed on June 20th from 10am-4pm.
Volunteers should be able to
- Provide their own photography equipment, such as a handheld camera and photo editing software and be able to share photos with Trustees staff after the event
- Wear comfortable clothes to walk and move in, such as sneakers and jeans
- Sign a Trustees Photography MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) stating that Trustees has use of photographs provided and that credit will be given to the photographer
- Come prepared for the weather (i.e., jackets if it is rainy or sun hats if it is hot).
- Walk long distances along the tour route
After the event, photos can be shared with Max at [email protected] via any electronic sharing system
Photographers will be credited for their work when photos are used. If you would also like to be tagged in social media posts when photos are used, let us know!
If you are not able to attend the whole event, but would still like to participate, please email Max ([email protected]) to work out an alternative schedule.
Orange Line and Commuter Rail service is available from Back Bay, a 10-minute walk from the tour start at 500 Tremont Street, Berkeley Community Garden in Boston
